Mist is an ombre version of Paws and Plumage inspired by the very early mornings here in Cornwall. Most mornings, a haze of mist rolls its way across the Cornish landscape giving everything an ethereal and dewy glow. Even the coastal beaches greet the sun with a cascade of mist in the morning. Watching it slowly move and make its way inland is oddly calming.

This linocut depicts a curious hound greeting a starling. Starlings are my favourite bird and one I remember fondly from childhood. I used to spend hours watching them wash themselves in the garden bird baths in little feathery groups of 5 or 6. It was always fascinating for me to see how their feathers shone in the sun like oil, with that purple and green sheen.
